The Honors College

The World of Children is proud and honored by its association with The City University of New York (CUNY).  Since inception, the Chancellor of CUNY has been a member of our International Advisory Council which is the group that casts votes to determine who ultimately wins Honoree status at World of Children. Moreover, since we moved our program to NYC in 2003, Chancellor Goldstein and his wife, Maggi, have graciously hosted a reception for our Honorees, Board and guests at the CUNY Reception Center. The Honors College and its Dean, Dr. Ann Kirschner, have provided 2 interns a year to help with the coordination and staging for the NYC events, also at their expense. This year, the Honors College received funding to acquire its own building to house the College. Below are photos from the ceremony. The first shows past World of Children Honors College Intern Manu H. Kumasi with the donor who made the purchase possible…Mr. Bill Macaulay.  We are proud to report that Manu was chosen to speak at and represent the Honors College student body at the ceremonies. The second photo shows, from left to right: Bill Macaulay, Linda Macaulay, Sen. Charles Schumer, Dean Ann Kirschner and Chancellor Goldstein.
