URGENT APPEAL FOR FOOD SUPPLIES AND OR CASH DONATION TOWARDS FOOD BUDGET

I trust that you are well.

I am looking for emergency assistance for food  for Wema Centre to continue feeding close to 800 children both in Thika and Mombasa. Food has become a major issue for two main reasons. One is that one of our main donors made a sudden change of policy pulling out of food and nutrition support though continuing to support other needs such as school fees. This has left us in a crisis situation as we have to find short term solutions quickly while we work on longer term funding. The other reason is the recent increase in food prices in Kenya, that has almost doubled our food bill. I am enclosing a formal application giving some important details of our work and figures relating to our annual food requirements and costing,  for your reference if necessary. Any support in cash or kind will be greatly appreciated.
